As the title says my card reader takes the payment as a contactless transaction even when the card is inserted in the machine. I sent the first reader back as it was detecting cards from about a foot away. (still waiting for a replacement) I then orderd one from Amazon, guess what not as sensitive but will not let people put there pin number in, it takes it as a contactless payment. Is this just me, I mean 2 machines from different suppliers. The trouble is it freaks out some older customers who are expecting put in a pin number. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any work a rounds?

I am having this exact problem. Some people just don't like using chip and pin and it's quite awkward that Paypal takes that option away from them. Did you find a resolve?
