i am thinking to buy item on gumtree but coz its far so will ask seller to post it for me . i was thinking of sending the money through paypal . just to be safe how can i send the money to him and if i didnt receive the item will my payment be safe ? will i be able to raise a case to get it back or it is only if you go through ebay ? the item is a headset . thanks

You are covered for non receipt of item or item received but not as described on ebay the same as any other site.

Just make sure you pay using the "goods" option or an invoice.

DO NOT use the gift option.

Also read up on buyer protection to make sure the item you are buying is covered..
