Hi, my customer are not able to process payment. they're getting the error "Return to merchant and try a different payment method". i'm eagerly waiting to your reply.

as of 04 feb '13 still not solved.

i'm going to end up with unpaid item strikes thru no fault of my own.

this is rediculous!!!!!

can anyone help  me with this error message. I am trying to use paypal to deposit funds in my online casino account I am in the UK, the cards associated with my account are registered in the UK and I have funds available in my paypal account and bank account the message I get is this

 

Payments to this merchant are not available from the country where your bank or credit card on your PayPal account is registered

This is for everyone whos having problems paying with paypal. hopefully this will shed some light as to why.

 

If you payment wont go thru its due to 1 of 2 reasons.

 

1. the payment was declined by bank/card issuer

 

2. the payment was stopped by paypals security system.

 

if 1, then check that the card details are correct on paypal. also check you card hasnt expired. if this isnt the problem, phone the bank and ask for the online authorisation dept. they will till you why it was declined.

 

if 2, paypal blocked it as they suspected it was risky or fraudulent. they cant override the system so no use phoning and yelling at them. try a different card if you have one. if that does nt work trying waiting 24 hours. if still no joy try the following:

 

1. verify your bank account if not already done

2. ask the person/company to send you a money request and pay directly through it

3. top up your paypal balance and try the payment

 

hopefully this helps a little

Hmmm

I thought it was just me.  I have spent all day so far trying to pay for an item from e-bay.

I have tried three different cards, all of which have ample funds availaable.

Paypal is making a regular payment to another company from one of my cards so obviously nothing wrong in that department.

 

I have not confirmed my bank acount as it means giving an open direct debit.  As stupid as a blank cheque, in my view.

 

Come on, Paypal.  Get your act together - or start losing business.

SirHugo, I think you are missing a key point here, people are saying theyhave sufficient money in their PayPal accounts to make the payments, but PayPal will not allow the transactions through..I'm having the same problem with a sportsdirect purchase. the money is there. But PayPal won't let me buy what I want...really does need sorting out

Hey there!

 

When this message pops up, it usually means that our attempt to charge the card failed   This is why the checkout would instruct you to try again, but use a different source.  If you're uncertain why the card was declined, you'll want to contact the number on the back of the card and ask about any recently declined purchases.

I did ... and it totally not true I checked all availble info entered and it was correct phoned my bank they said they couldnt see any reason why payment declined, contacted website i was trying to pay to and they couldnt see a problem there end....
