cant register my debit credit card

Hi there, I am trying to add my debit credit card to my paypal account, but it doesnt seem to work.

is it because my credit card isnt a Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express?. its a BNETS card, from RBC Bank (in Suriname) Is it posible for me to link my debit credit card to my paypal account ? Because a lot of people here use paypal

PayPal accepts the following cards:

• Visa / Delta / Electron
• MasterCard / Eurocard
• Maestro
• American Express.

Debit cards (also known as bank cards) are accepted if they have a Visa or MasterCard logo.
