Yeah it's one of the most puzzling situations I have encountered as well which has led to the reason why I'm not a subscriber to Netflix, because I don't own a legit credit card, but I do use prepaid credit cards that wouldn't be able to pay the monthly bill having a fixed amount of funds on it. I would really like to know why a Paypal account can't be used to cover the monthly commissions. I mean, even if a Paypal account does run into insufficient funds, Netflix could just cut services until they acquire a payment. I think it's just more of Netflix's policy than it's Paypal's fault. What you can try doing though, is signing up for a BMO Prepaid Travel Mastercard from Bank of Montreal. It's a prepaid credit card that you can reload, use online, at retailers, at ATMs to withdraw cash from it and the card lasts up to three years. It gives you the benefit like a real credit card would and you pay no interest. You don't even need to be with the bank to apply for one.
