What's transaction ID PLEASE

I'm filling something for Paypal ...What does Transaction ID MEAN? Sorry I'm a bit thick

Its the id given to every transaction when you pay someone etc.

If you click on any transaction in your paypal account the transaction id will be at the bottom left of that details page.
