Hi, if I wanted to buy a £300 item, but had only £70 in my paypal account, which would get debited first. Would the £70 be taken from my Paypal account and the £230 from my bank, or would paypal try and take the whole £300 from my bank? Thanks

Depends if you use pay after delivery or not.
If you do then it comes all from the bank. But if you don't they should use your balance first and the rest from your bank account.
However during the payment process before you have to click to submit it does tell you above the balance where the funds will be debited from so you can not go ahead and pay if you don't want to or change the payment to a card etc by clicking on change.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.
