Using paypal for Gumtree

Hey, so ill jump right to it.

Basically i am wanting to order a new PC from Gumtree, i have spoken to the seller and he seems ok to buy from, we agreed that i will pay by Paypal and he will post the PC to me via myhermes delivery company.

If i am scammed, the item does not arrive, or the item arrives faulty/broken will paypal refund me?

You will have buyer protection as long as you pay an invoice or money request or use the send money > goods / services option to pay.

BUT how much coverage depends on a lot of factors so your best bet is to go read up on buyer protection and then risk assess your transaction.

So if i select send money > goods, i'll be covered? i'll read the buyer protection, but it's my frirst time using paypal etc so invoices are new to me
