Removing PayPal Credit as payment source

I recently bought an item from Apple using PayPal credit, without fully realising what PayPal credit was. It was only a few weeks later that I realised that all subsequent eBay purchases had been added to the credit balance. I was really annoyed as this was a complete surprise.

I now want to stop any further payments being added to the credit account. How can I do this? There doesn't seem to be any way of removing PayPal credit as a funding source once you have it.

I also (an eBay question really) cannot see any way in eBay of making my credit card the default funding source (although I can change it for every transaction).

Currently feeling rather like I've been tricked by PayPal 😞

I'm having the exact same problem. I bought something from Apple yesterday and opted for the paypal credit. I thought it was only to do with my apple purchase. I'm feeling tricked as well as Idon't want to use 'paypal' credit for any other purchases 😞

Having the exact same problem. Although I purchased my iPhone 4 days ago, bought some clothes amounting to £31 so now the phone order has not gone through as the credit amount is not enough.

I have paid the £31 as a payment to credit, waiting for it to go in so my iphone order can go through.

I am so tempted to cancel the whole thing but not sure I can now as the credit has all gone through for the amount.

Feel like now I must make sure I do not pay via paypal for anything until the credit is all paid off, what a bummer.

Trickery.

Hi, did you ever find out how to stop your purchases from going straight onto your credit account? I'm recently having the same problem

Hi vespap200,

Welcome to our Community 🙂

It sounds like PayPal Credit has been set as your preferred funding source but you can usually adjust this within the 'Wallet' tab of your PayPal account.

If you're having trouble though, why don't you reach out to us on Facebook or Twitter so we can ask our specialists to make this change for you?

We are available 24/7 to answer private messages sent through our Facebook page (http://goo.gl/4BO8de) and respond swiftly to any tweets directed towards @AskPayPal!

Would you consider giving these options a try for me?
