I recently brought an item on eBay and paid through PayPal. The item came to a total of £19.99 and I also donated £1 to the RSPCA when I was confirming payment. Both payments have appeared on my PayPal account as being completed, but I checked my bank account and no money has been taken. I contacted the seller and he said he had received payment with no problem. PayPal took payment from my bank account and not my card.
Once you make a payment it is completed instatly and the seller receive the funds on his/her PayPal balance. Although your transaction is completed, can take up to 3 days to see the charge on your bank account.
