Paying with PayPal

I made a payment via PayPal, assuming it would use my bank account as usual- instead it is showing a negative PayPal balance and asking me to transfer funds? Why? This has never happened before!

Do you have funds in your bank account?

 

Have you accidently cancelled the direct debit mandate between paypal and your bank account on your online banking site?
