How do I add money from my Visa card to my PayPal account so that I can shop online?

Hi, so Im new to PayPal..

Anyway, my friend bought LOTS of stuff on eBay and told me that she had sent money to her account.. but I have no idea how to do that, I asked her but she didnt even really know how she did it.

So please help! Id like to transfer abt 40€ from my bank account to my PayPal. How do I do this?

No, I dont want to link it which costs 1,50€.. I think thats stupid..

To transfer funds from your bank account (you can't transfer it from a card in the UK), you have to link your bank account to your paypal account.

However as a buyer you never need to add funds to your paypal account balance you add your card and it is taken directly from there.

If you don't add a card either as back up to a bank account or on its own then you can't use paypal.

When you pay the money when you add a card it is used to verify that card and is refunded once you complete the verification process.
