I tried to buy a camera via paypal for some reason my card was rejected. A message came up with my banks details stating I could pay by direct debit. I filled in the form and submitted. The bank said that they had recieved a D D aplication and some money has been taken out of the account, The money is not in my paypal account, the seller has not recieved it. Is this a scam?
The money would go directly to the seller, not you your PayPal Account Balance.
It's unclear as to what really has happened here. You should have linked your and confirmed your card to your PayPal account before making any purchases. There is a process which can take a few days to complete.
Suggest you contact customer support with your concerns as they can review your account information. (No one here can do that.)
