Hi, pgajohn, and welcome to the community!
The credentials your web developer is looking for appear to be the credentials used for Payflow Gateway integrations. These would be similar credentials used to access https://manager.paypal.com/. For security purposes, we do not recommend sharing your main merchant login password for this account with anyone. It is highly recommended to setup a user for this account with sufficient permissions to process API-based transactions, but is unable to login to the account to make any changes. To create such a user, please follow the steps below:
- Login to https://manager.paypal.com with your administrator account
- Click Account Administration at the top
- Click Add User
- Fill out form, and be sure to select "API_FULL_TRANSACTIONS" as the predefined role.
Once this user has been created, you can provide this information to your developer for use in the integration.
If you need any assistance logging into this account (forgot password/merchant ID), or creating the user, please feel free to contact us.
Regards,
Adam
