Using PayPal credit for partial payment.

I am wanting to purchase something, but do not have the full amount.  PayPal is offering $600 credit to me.

If I purchase the item through PayPal, anticipating using the $600 credit line, can I pay the balance and successfully complete the transaction?

Please advise.
