Hi - I'm selling an item online and I've received a Notification of PayPal Authorisation Letter stating that money has been approved for the sale but will not appear in my account until I've confirmed shipment of the item and the tracking number - is this legit or a scam to get the product and not pay for it? I'm being asked to ship the item to Nigeria!

Scam. PayPal does not hide payment from you until you provide a tracking number. If someone paid, it will show in your account fairly instantly. Then you can add tracking number by using PayPal shipping or uploading it manually if you ship direct at PO. This letter of authorization is pure scamming nonsense.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
