Money not received

I opened a Business account using some of my personal details earlier this year. (I've had a private account for years.) A customer paid me using my phone number instead of the link on my website.

 

The funds have vanished, presumably to my old private account.

 

I've had no luck at all trying to get these funds from PayPal.

Well, if they're in the old account then they haven't vanished. Are you able to login to that account? Have you tried the forgot password link so you can get logged in if you need to?

The old account got turned into the new business account. I can't access the old account any more.

So the phone number used to send the payment to does not exist in any PayPal account? Did the sender provide a transaction ID for the payment and proof that they actually sent the payment that way?
