I am tryhing to pay for postage for something that has sold thru ebay but it wont let says i need to check funding?

Unlink your PayPal from eBay in the eBay account settings. Try to purchase shipping label at eBay with PayPal, selecting your funding source and relink your PayPal account in the process.
Log out and sign back in through ebay see if that works, it could be because of holiday.
It happens. Hit the "Login to Ask the community" button to create a question for the PayPal community.
