I'm sorry to hear that you are not seeing a payment associated with a payment request that you have sent. If there is no transaction associated with the payment request, it is likely that the buyer has not yet made the payment. A payment sent to you would arrive pretty close to immediately.
Some other things to check - is your email address confirmed in your account? Is the currency of the payment that you requested one that you hold in your account?
