Clarifying to customers how credit card via PayPal works

I did some user testing and found that customers are confused about paying by credit/debit card via PayPal (they're used to just entering their card details, not being redirected to a PayPal site). Can anyone advise what copy they've used to make it clear to customers they don't need to create an account in order to pay by credit/debit card?
Initially I just had credit/debit card as an option and customers were just routed to a PayPal page where they'd need to indicate they wanted to pay by credit card but that confused customers. So then I changed the copy from 'pay by credit/debit card' to 'pay by credit/debit card via PayPal' and that still confused customers.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
