Changing date format in an invoice template

Hi,

Is it possible to change the date format (e.g. from DD/MM/YY to MM/DD/YY) on an invoice template?  I'd like to have invoices that go to Canada in DD/MM/YY format, and invoices that go to the US in MM/DD/YY format.
