bank statment doesnt have payment code

after i was deposited 0,01 p into my nationwide account there was no code to go with it

I've just had the same problem - 1 pence deposit into my account and no four digit code - checked with the bank and they confirmed there are no digits just the wording 'paypal'

How am I supposed to confirm my account?

Hi webber4 and beachbabe,

I would like to welcome both of you to the PayPal community forum. 

We have been advised that some banks are not showing the code on mini statements and on online banking. May I suggest that you request a statement from your bank as the 4 digit code seems to show up on the statement.

I have also had the same problem, And I have waited until I got my full statement but still no code.

I'm having the same problem verifying my account. On my Nationwide statements it just comes up as PAYPAL - even on full statements.  I talk to Paypal and they say talk to the bank, I talk to the bank and they say talk to Paypal.

I'm REALLY frustrated.  Any help out there PLEASE.
