I set up a new account paypal account yesterday and linked my bank account. I have made no purchases or sales or anything however Paypal have deducted £1 from my account with no notification or warning or anything. When my mum set up an account, they didn't do this so why have they done it to mine?
when you add a card to your paypal account, as a security check the bank/card issuer takes 1 pound from the avialable balance to check the card is yours. its usually returned after 2-3 days
