Refund back to credit card

I need to refund an overpayment amount back to the customer's credit card. How do I go about this?

If you issue a refund then it automatically goes back to the funding source of the original payment.

So if the buyer funded their paypal payment with a debit or credit card then it won't go back to their paypal balance it will go direct  to their card but takes about a week to process through to a bank account and a bit longer to a c.c. sometimes.
