Re: PayPal Community Q&A - May 8, 2019 - Open

Hello
On 13 Apr 2019 I received a mail from PayPal saying that I disputed the transaction with my bank. I've never started this dispute by my own. I contacted my bank and they confirmed that they haven't started it either. Please, could you tell me, is there a way to cancel this dispute? There's no such option in my PayPal page and I can't call to PayPal personally since I'm not US resident. I'm from Ukraine and there's no PayPal office in my area.
Thank you

Hello @Nathaniele

Thanks for reaching out on our Community Chat!! Those kind of disputes can be a bit tough to get to the bottom of. If the dispute was filed as a chargeback by your bank's debit / credit card team, you may need to escalate your request to cancel the chargeback through the proper channels at your bank. Unfortunately, it still may take up to 90+ days for the case / investigation to complete or cancel out and there's not a way to cancel this kind of case from PayPal's end. However once we receive official word through the proper channels to cancel the dispute, PayPal will respond accordingly as quickly as possible.

Good luck with your case!

Hi @mandrews13,

I'm sorry to hear that there is an unknown payment in your account. It sounds like it's possible that someone has mistakenly sent you a payment, perhaps meaning it to go to a similar email address. You can refund the payment if it's not expected by clicking the refund link associated with the transaction.

I hope this helps!

Olivia
