I was wondering if PayPal has issued a statement on the current viral harassment campaign in which an exorbitant amount of people are reporting PayPal accounts for violating the terms regarding the buying/selling of sexually oriented digital goods. I understand that these terms are agreed upon when creating an account and that there are consequences for users breaking that agreement, but it makes me uneasy to consider that this may lead to PayPal being effectively complicit in their harassment. I don't mean for asking about PayPal's response to this situation to sound accusatory. I think the ToS seem to take some amount of morality into consideration and that the response would be meaningful both for the company and us users.

Hi @BC63,
Welcome to our Community Q&A!
This platform is not used for communicating company statements. In regards to this issue , we take each individual report of activities in breach of our Acceptable Use Policy seriously and deal with these fairly. If it comes to our attention that reports of such activity are incorrect we will dismiss the claim and we will only take action on activities breaching our terms and conditions.
Thanks
Martin

Hi @EH6
Welcome to our Community Q&A session!
Obviously this depends on the currency exchange rates, but we do have fixed fee costs explained here. The customer is advised before they commit to a purchase the costs that are incurred if they choose PayPal to convert the amount. They should have an option when using their credit card as a funding source to allow their card issuer to convert the amount, if it is more favourable, this is explained here.
Thanks
Martin

Hi @Use-Crypto
Welcome to our Community Q&A session.
I understand sometimes these hold can be frustrating. To provide one of the safest online payment services our internal security system reviews every transaction before it's released. This type of review can happen for various reasons. For example, you may have received a higher-than-usual amount of money into your account, you may be logging in from an unsecure network or you may have made changes to your account profile. Once our review has finished your withdrawal will show as ‘completed’ and will be processed to your bank account if the review didn't turn up any issues. If you are experiencing such holds and none of the mentioned reasons seem to match your activity please reach out to our support team. To contact customer service, please click Help & Contact at the bottom of any PayPal page for contact options, or reach out by Facebook or Twitter.
Thanks
Martin

So... how am I supposed to allow merchants to sell their content through my service via paypal while automatically collecting a small fee?
Seems like all the ways to do this are now: "a limited release product. It is restricted to select partners for approved use cases and should not be used for new integrations without guidance from PayPal."
Can someone give me a solution please before I switch to STRIPE? I really would like to stay but you're killing me over here.

P.S. I am looking to allow someone to charge for a monthly subscription of $10, facilitate the service and $1 every month comes to me from the subscription.
