Hey @dentalx,
I'm sorry to hear the refund is taking so long. 😞 When a seller issues a refund that's funded from their bank, we have to wait for the transfer to clear before completing the refund to the buyer's account.
In this case, it sounds like there may be an issue with that transfer completing. If the seller isn't completing the refund they've promised, you can file a dispute using the information here. If the seller isn't able to resolve the dispute with you by completing the refund, you can escalate the case to PayPal for us to review and we'll make a decision on the claim. I hope the issue is resolved soon!

when u send someone money on goods and services do they get the money right away?
Hi @zac233,
Thank you for joining the chat! I'm happy to provide some clarification.
A goods and services payment will show in the receiver's account right away, but the funds may potentially be delayed by up to 21 days. A seller is expected to ship the item right away, and the funds would release more quickly after proof of delivery is confirmed.
I hope this helps!

Hi @zac233,
Good question! If the payment has delayed funds availability on seller's account, a seller would still be able to refund, but it might not be immediate because they might have to fund the refund with their bank account as an eCheck. If the seller maintains a positive balance on the account, the refund would be able to be processed immediately, however.

Hi. I'm trying to send money to a friend's account in Canada with my bank account (also in Canada) but it is charging me some kind of fee. I thought sending money to friends had no fee as long as it's in Canada?

Hey @deborahs14,
Uh oh! You're correct, personal payments between accounts in the same country using a bank or your PayPal balance should be free. Have you checked to make sure the payment is showing as a Friends & Family transfer as opposed to a Goods & Services transaction? Is it trying to charge your card instead of your bank? Is the transfer in CAD? All these factors could be affecting the payment and adding a fee. Let me know here if you're still having issues after checking those things. I'm happy to help. 🙂
