Hi everyone!

Well, I mean... Hi Frank, and anyone who's lurking! 🙂

Let's get a conversation going! Today's icebreaker:

Children have awesome imaginations and make up the best make-believe games. Do you remember a particularly imaginitive make-believe or pretend game from childhood? Do your kids have one that makes you smile?

Good icebreaker 🙂

One of my favorite games as a kid was when in the car.  I'd hold up my hand and pretend that my index and middle fingers were legs then pretend that the little guy was running and jumping over all the terrain as we drove by.  A simple little game but I always thought it was pretty cool as a kid.

I also remember imagining huge car battles with my matchbox cars.  I'd give each car it's own super power and pit them against each other, tournament style. 🙂

That's awesome. I wish I'd thought of that!

When I was a kid, my sister and I and my best friend would play a game called "Trapped." In this game, we were repeatedly in situations where were were kept somewhere by a witch or sorceress, and we had to figure out how to escape. This game was invented largely because our sitter wanted us to play quietly in one small area.

My friend later told me that she's had a fascination with the concept all her life since then. She gravitates toward stories about shipwrecks and so forth.

That game sounds kind of scary.  The sitter sounds mean too. 😛

Meh, times were different. She parked us in front of cartoons and we played pretend when they were over. 🙂 In retrospect it was a pretty good time. 🙂
