Withdrawing USD to a Barclays USD Currency Account

Hi there,

I am looking to withdraw my USD balance to my Barclays USD business currency account.

I don't want to convert the USD into GBP. I just want to keep it in USD as my business has mostly American customers and all deals are done in USD.

How do I do this?

Thanks for posting on the Community Forum about this 🙂

At the moment, it would only be possible to withdraw money from our system to a UK bank in your local currency, GBP. This is related to an agreement which PayPal have in place with the banking authorities in the UK, and cannot be bypassed, I'm afraid.

If you need to withdraw money in USD, you may want to consider adding a US registered bank, if you have one. Alternatively, you could withdraw your money from PayPal in GBP and allow your USD bank to complete the conversion to USD on their end, to avoid double currency conversions.
