CS just put the phone down on me - Withdrawal not received

I am very unhappy with paypal - I have been using paypal for many years without issue, bt am appalled at how I have just been treated!

I called them up because my withdrawal was marked as completed and is usually in the bank account immediately, this time however it was not showing up at all.  I checked the email and it says the payment will be there within 2 - 72 hours! But I should have it by 23rd Jan.

This is my money and it is needed to pay for goods that customers have bought, it will potentially affect my business if the portion of that money that has to buy the product is not available for up to 3 days!

Also, the payment is showing as completed, but clearly it isnt because it is not in my bank, when I called and complained I was told it had been done for security reasons!  I explained that this was my money I was confirming that it was a genuine withdrawal, my bank account is verified, its not notifiable for money laundering reasons, there is no strange or unusal activity.. and I wanted paypal to get the department who do the reviews to release the money immediately..

The supervisors answer... just put the phone down on me!  Absolutely shocking!!!

Does the 2-72 hours include weekends? ... I did a withdrawal yesterday morning and don't have it yet, got the dreaded "Security check" message.
Just wondering if it's likely to go in on a Sunday?

Hello there sleepyjones,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the community!

Withdrawals can take anything from 2 – 72 working hours to complete through our system. This timeframe does not include weekends.

Hope this helps!

They don't care. They have your money and there's nothing you can do about it until they release it.

There's no 'security checks' actually happening. If there was then the funds would be released at some point before 72hrs, but no...it's always the maximum time.

PayPal claim to be the 'future of money'? Ha yeah right, don't make me laugh. Online Casinos release your money quicker than these crooks.

Its not compulsory to use Paypal, if you don't like how they work then just close your account surely?

Thanks for the completely useless advice. That doesn't get me my pending money any quicker....and yes I will be closing it once I've received my funds, especially if you're the sort of person they have handing out advice on here. Speaks volumes as to what they think of their customers. Looking at your previous 'advice', your title should be 'volunteer troll'.

This is a 'user to user' help forum, I am a user just like you are and so am entitled to my opinion.

I also offer advice the same as any other user can.

Your opinion was you did not like paypal and thought there working practices were wrong.

My opinion was that paypal is not compulsory so you can cease to use them if you wanted to.

Unfortunately you wanted someone to post to sympathise with you, sorry you did not get that  Smiley Wink

And yes thanks for saying I am a pillar of the community, as I have saved hundreds from being scammed then yes I think I do help this community.

And you? Have you actually given up your time to help someone on here?
