iam trying to close an old account but no longer have the card that is registered they want me to put the card no. in to verify that its me is there anyway round this

Have you tried just removing the card first?

1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
3. Click ‘Credit/Debit Cards’ under ‘Financial Information.’ (Don’t see this step? Follow the instructions below.)
4. Select the card you want to remove and click ‘Remove.’
5. Review the information and then click ‘Remove.’

1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
3. Click ‘My money.’
4. Click ‘Update’ beside ‘Debit and credit cards'.
5. Select the card you want to remove and click ‘Remove.’
6. Review the information and then click ‘Remove.’
