Suspicious paypal transaction

I have removed a card from Paypal account and 3 days later there is Paypal transaction of 1 pound (date of transaction is the same as the date of removal). Is that normal? I thought this only happens when a card is added, not removed? Or is it somebody else adding my card to his/hers account?

I am sorry for the delay in our response. Based on the details that you described, it sounds like a temporary authorization charge.  Whenever you add or edit a card on your PayPal account, a temporary authorization charge of $1 or 1£ is made to verify that the card is active. In this case, there no reason to worry as the temporary authorization charge should be credited back in your balance shortly.
