Open a PayPal account

Hello,

i am German and i am living over 2 years here in England, i got a bank account with my German first Name which is Sieglinde, nobody can say this name, so all over here call me Lin , Unfortunately i want to set up a PayPal account and i put isnstead of Sieglinde , Lin as my first Name , how can i change it ????

Welcome to the Community Forum! It shouldn't be a problem to have your account name updated to match your bank. You will need to provide us with a proof of ID document before we can make any changes to your name.

Here’s how to ask for the name on your account to be changed:

1. Go to www.paypal.com/uk and log in to your account.
2. Click Profile near the top of the page.
3. In the 'Name' section, click Change.
4. Select the type of change you would like to make and click Continue.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

We'll notify you by email once we have updated your name. If you have any issues with this, I'd recommend contacting Customer Support.
