HELP NEEDED - I need to change from my maiden name to my married name, but have NO PHOTO ID.

I urgently need to change the name on my private Paypal account from my maiden name to my married name, but I have NO official photo ID apart from my citizencard, which is old and has my maiden name on it.

Does this mean I will never be able to transfer the funds from my paypal account to my bank account? If so how does this work because the funds are mine?

Hi Chez86 and welcome to the community forum 

If you do not have any valid photographic identification we would recommend that you send us a copy of your birth certificate and a government issued document. We will also request a copy of your marriage certificate to verify your married name. You can upload these documents via our name change option. 

Here’s how you change the name on your account:

1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk/namechange (and log in to your account if prompted).
2. Select the type of change you would like to make and click ‘Continue.’
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
