My email add used by someone else

Someone has used one of my email addresses to set up a paypal account.  I got a verification email 2-3 days ago, but ignored it as I thought by not verifying it nothing would happen.  Now this person must be doing some sort of dodgy activity as I got another today saying the account has been limited.  Should I be taking action to get this account disassociated with my email address?

Same here. I called customer support and they closed the account on July 12. Now I have received an email about the "Notice of Policy Updates" (received July 17). I haven't had time to contact customer support lately since I work nights but I would like to know if the account has been completely closed out. This was probably all due to that freakin gmail and yahoo address leak that was on fox news. F***ing hackers......

Exactly the same happened to me - Lee Tom.

I tried to link my spare email to my paypal account becuase I was having money sent to that and it said I already had an account, I reset my password and logged in to 'Lee Tom's' account and there was no activity because I hadn't erified the email so tried to close the account but couldn't.

I have contacted paypal but haven't heard anything back. It's just frustrating because if the money goes in, it'll go to that account and I wont get it. Grrr
