Hello All,

Just recieved an email with an attachment and this title: Monitored Suspicious Activity

The attachment is asking for confirmation of the account. The title of the attachment is "attachment440.html"

I have not found this exact phishing email on this board, but I do belive it to be fake. The sender's address is: members at resolutioncenter.com.

I will not be filling out the form as it is asking for way too much personal information.

I have unlinked my bank account and credit card info about a week ago, so there is nothing anyone could gain from getting access to my paypal account. I did this before this email arrived.

The email:

Dear Valued Client,

PayPal Limited Your Account

A suspicious activity was detected from your account.
After further investigation, our security team believe that
someone was trying to use your account without your
permission. To prevent such unauthorized activity, we
have temporarily limited your account.

There are certain transactions that we prevent you from
doing under a limited acccount, such as receiving, sending,
or on very rare occasions, withdrawing money. We have implemented
this as a security measure to help protect you and your
PayPal account.

However, we have prepared a solution for you. Please
download and open the attached file from this email.
It contains a form that we need you to complete in order
for us to confirm your identity.

Our PayPal security team shall then review your information and
remove the limitations from your account. We apologize
for the inconvenience caused.

Sincerely,
PayPal

@J_K

I can tell its spoof from the first line.

Paypal NEVER addresses you as Dear Valued Client OR Dear Member OR Dear User or anything else.

Paypal ALWAYS addresses you by your full name eg Dear John Smith etc.

Also NEVER click on a link in an email as paypal would never tell you to do that to enter personal or sensitive financial or log in info.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
