Link/confirming my debit card help

Hi, I have some questions regarding confirming my debit card.
Do i have to make a purchase online in order for the Paypal code to show up on my online debit card statement?
can i still make online purchases while im waiting for the code to show on my statement?
do you have a rough idea how long it takes for the code to show on a statement?

No just add your card > go to your wallet and click to confirm and the code will be sent to your card statement.

You can't fund purchases from that card until its confirmed.

2-3 working days.

Thank you. I applied by accent for my card to be confirmed this morning ( i think i accidently clicked the wrong button )
and so far, its not showing up on my Statement.

thanks for letting me know that i cant use PP till the card is verified..i was wondering if that was the case when a transaction wouldnt complete
