False Email from ''PayPal'' about inaccurate account infomation

Hello,

I have received an email from no(at)sumsistemas.net :

 

Dear Client,
We have noticed that some data from your account information seems inaccurate or unverified. You have to check your information in order to continue using our service smoothly, please check your account information by clicking the link below.

 

If you need help or have any questions, call us at  https://www.paypal.com/selfhelp/contact/call, 7:00 WIB to 21:00 WIB from Monday to Friday, 8:00 WIB to 17:00 WIB from Saturday to Sunday

 

Also there is ''PayPal secure '' logo. 

I have got this two days after i renewed my bank card.

I know this is not PayPal, because genuine PayPal always conatacts me by Name and Last Name.

Just thought i let You all know about this.

Yep its a spoof, DO NOT CLICK THE LINK.


As you said if the email addressed you as ''Dear Member'' / ''Customer'' / ''Client'' OR your ''email address'' then that confirms its a spoof as paypal would address you by your full name eg Dear John Smith.


Secondly if there was a link OR attachment in that email to ''cancel'' the transaction or ''confirm'' any details then again it would be a spoof.


If there was a problem with your account paypal would not ask you to click on an unsafe link in an email or by downloading an attachment, they would direct you to log in normally and go to the resolution or the message centre for more information.
