ebay purchase problem

Trying to pay for an ebay item using PayPal. I have a PaPal Mastercard as the preferred  payment option. When performing ebay checkout i select Paypal. It requests my PayPal paswd. Goes through authentication and then returns to the ebay checkput screen without charging my card. No errors appear.

I See You Want  To Check Out With Your Preferred PayPal PrePaid Mastercard. So To Do This, When You Check Out For An Item On eBay, eBay Checkout Will Give You A Variety of Choices Between PayPal and/or Any Cards You Have On File. Instead of Choosing PayPal To Check Out, When You Go To Choose A Payment Option, Look For Your Mastercard & Choose That To Check Out. It Should Then Charge Your Card Rather Than Your PayPal! Hope This Works & Resolves Your Issue!

Same thing here. The item disappears from my cart. When I posted here about it my post was immediately deleted.
