Ebay listing money sent to an old paypal I absolutely cannot access.

I sold an item on ebay, but when I received the email stating it had been paid for, it was sent to my personal email tied to my ebay account and not the paypal I have tied to ebay. I believe that the payment may have gone to my old paypal account that I no longer have access to because I've forgotten the password and the phone number I used for it is long gone. Is there any way I can get back into this account via a phone call to paypal or something, or should I just apologize to the seller and cancel the order? Thank you for your time!

Have you tried searching for the transaction that's associated to the listing under "Activity?" If not, then what you will need to do is login to your eBay account, on the computer, and go to the item page - the page that your Buyer's see when they purchase the item. You can do that by going to "My eBay" -> "Selling" -> and then go to where your sold items are - the last part varies between each eBay account. Once you arrive at the item page, you should see a link that says "View PayPal transaction" and you will be directed to PayPal's login page. Once you log in, you will be sent to the transaction page. On the bottom somewhere, you will see "Payment Sent to" and then your email address. That's how you can check as to where the payment was sent to. If you weren't able to log in the you should contact PayPal by phone at https://www.paypal.com/selfhelp/contact/call or by email at https://www.paypal.com/selfhelp/contact/email.

Let me know how it goes! Enjoy!
