Trying to Add New Email and it is Already Taken???

I am havin an issue trying to add another email to my account so that I can receive payments from a more confidential email (that doesn't actually have my name in it). I just created this email account last night specificially for this purpose, but now when I log on and try to add it, it says that someone is already using it on here?? How does that make sense when only one person can own a single email address? I have tried calling to speak to a representative because this is the email I wanted to use and it is MINE, but all I get is automated prompts that are lading me nowhere.. Can someone please help or tell me how I can reach an actual representative?

Phoning is best > use contact bottom of every paypal page.

Or

ask you internet service provider

Or

delete that email address and create another one

Or

call PAYPAL and wait 3 hours to speak to somone

Or

send Paypal email at TWITTER or Facebook
