Trouble Adding Paypal Account To Google Play

Why can't i add my paypal account to google play. Whenever i try to add my account a pop up comes with this error: "Something went wrong. There was an issue adding your PayPal account because the country associated with the account is not currently supported. Please select a different form of payment." Really worried. I hope this will be solved soon.

Are you trying to use PayPal to pay for something on Google Play?

Yes, i was going for checkout but unfortunately couldn't add paypal as payment method.

What options did you have at a checkout?

I thought you just selected a payment method and used it, not added.

I selected Paypal to add it as a payment method and after filling with login credentials, i got that error.

Old thread I know, but I only just figured it out and it may help someone else.......

To add Paypal to Google Play account, you need to login to Google Play via computer browser initially

and then add from there.
