Medium Account Limitation - Used for Sports Club

So my team have a PayPal that we use for money stuffs and it has just been given a Medium Account Limitation until we can provide something like a passport, driving license etc. As it is for the club, the club itself has none of these documents so how do I go about removing this limitation for an account that can't provide the documentation it is being asked for?

If its a personal and not a business paypal account then it has to be in someones 'name', you can't use a club as a personal name.

So the named person needs to provide the documents.

Ahhh OK then, so we have the account currently with the name of the club as the first and second name. So what do we do so we can fix this?

If you can't provide documents to prove the club name is the first and last name of a person then its unlikely you can verify the account and it will probably stay limited.  Smiley Sad

Your best bet is to phone customer services to see if you can maybe upgrade to a business account when the name 'may' be ok?

Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top OR very bottom of page dependent on what country you are in. Scroll down past the list of help questions and click on 'Call us' bottom of that page. Log in and get the code.

When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent OR just say the word 'Agent'".

So because the original treasurer didn't set up the account in someone's name because it wasn't for a person, we have lost the account unless we pay to make it a business one?

I gave you advice on what 'may' happen because you opened it incorrectly.

But you need to phone customer services for any other options.

I don't think anywhere that I said you had 'lost' the account, I said you 'may' have to upgrade BUT phone customer services for other possibilities.

Now i'm getting back to watching Easter Sunday t.v so.............your welcome.

My apologies for seeming terse, it just felt a little unfair that we would have to do that considering we aren't a business. I am not blaming you or trying to sound angry, I have been told that I need to be a bit more active in decisions, I guess I am still getting used to it xD my apologies about all that.
