IPN Settings

We are struggling getting Paypal to return to our site - the history on Paypal site says 'retrying' for all transactions- so I am assuming we have either got the URL wrong or something is stopping the message reaching the website.

We run a Magento 1 website so can anyone recommend what the URL should be please:

We are using https://www.ourwebsite.com/paypal/ipn/ 

Or could it be a firewall setting on our server?
