Can't make Paypal payment in Ebay

when I try to check out from an ebay purchase, it accepts the selection (paypal), but it continues to say 'select a payment option' in red and won't let me proceed.  It shows a red circle with a line through it on the confirm box. It will also try and verify account and perform the call me with a code. I get the call and enter the code. It indicate verified and then repeat and want to call me again for verification. Never stops looping. It won't let me even select Paypal credit or credit card purchase. I also tried on different browsers (IE, Chrome & Firefox) and on my iPhone with ebay app and Paypal app with same results.

Hello @smitch54! The only thing that makes sense is that your account could be limited. I don't know if it will show you your full limitations but you can view your them by doing the following:

  1. Login to your PayPal account and go to the bottom of the page.
  2. Click on "See how much you can send with PayPal" and the next page will direct you to your information on your account limitations.

If you find that you do have limitations, you can remove them by doing the following:

Before you start
If your account is limited, it means that you won’t be able to do certain things with your PayPal account. For example, you might not be able to send or withdraw money.

Usually, PayPal asks you to complete one or more tasks to remove your account limitation. For your convenience, I have listed the steps to remove your account limitations below under "What to do."

If you received an email stating that your account is limited, but don't see any steps in the Resolution Center, you may have received a fake email. Forward it, do not copy and paste, to spoof@paypal.com and PayPal will investigate it for you. After you send them the email, delete it from your inbox. If you clicked on any links or downloaded any attachments within the suspicious email or website, log in to your account at PayPal.com and look for any unwanted transactions or other unwanted information. It’s also a good idea to change your password.

What to do

  1. Click Resolve a problem in PayPal's Resolution Center near the botton of the page. The link should be under the "More about your account" section on the left and above "See how much you can send with PayPal."
  2. Click Go to Account Limitations.
  3. Click Resolve beside each step.

If all the steps are completed and your account remains limited, it means one of 2 things:

  1. PayPal has sent you an email asking for more information, or
  2. PayPal is reviewing your case, and they will email you with their decision.

Please note that, for most limitations, customer service specialists can't remove your limitation over the phone. Please wait for them to contact you. If they have asked you to upload additional information, you can upload documents in the Resolution Center.

If you completed the required steps and PayPal asks you for more information by email, please respond as soon as possible so they can resolve your case.

Did this help? Let me know by giving me some kudos and selecting this as the solution. Otherwise, go ahead and reply to this forum with the correct solution. Also, help other's in this community! Enjoy!
