Adding bank account error

Hello, I've been trying to link my bank account to my paypal account for a weeks now... Everytime I do, I get the following messages:

 

- When trying to link using my IBAN (copied from my online bank platform):

 

-- "The bank information you've entered is invalid or missing. Please try again:

-- "Please enter a valid IBAN"

- When trying to link using my NIB (account number NIB), which is 21 digits in my country:

 

-- "The bank information you've entered is invalid or missing. Please try again:

-- "Please enter a valid IBAN"

What I've tried: tried to enter both IBAN and NIB with delimiting spaces and without, tried to manually type in them both several times. 

 

Also on the NIB error, if my NIB is already 21 digit (the textbox doesn't allow more than that) how does it expect me to enter anything else? And what does it mean by branch code? (it's already there...)

 

I've sent several emails to the help centre, 0 answers. I've skyped the support, been redirected about 3 times, last one gave me my country agency's phone number, it's not... It's a phone number from ireland, which doesn't even seem to work, I'm from Portugal btw.

 

Any tips would be greatly appreciated, as it is starting to get really frustrating to have my money stuck...
