American Express direct deposit account

Can I use my American Express direct deposit account to verify my paypal? Pay pal says the deposits have been made to the account but I'm not seeing any.

Probably not as the card does not constitute a checking, savings or other demand deposit or consumer asset account.  It's just a prepaid type card that is reloadable.
