Order Status reads cancelled now but I don't see a refund going out? Buyer not after me for $$ -

Hi - this may be something for Paypal staff to look into but i don't see a place to ask them about specific transactions ??

 

I sold an item March 15th - saw the $ icon light up the next day - then the day after it was gone again - assumed a glitch - as I got item ready i found a minute snag I hadn't seen before - so I emailed buyer to disclose this and offer a discount. The $ icon was still missing at this point. I got no response back .I didn't ship. After a week and 3 emails sent -I checked my Paypal transactions - it shows payment received and order status as cancelled -march 23rd, 

How can a buyer just cancel a transaction / sale without going through me? it was after checkout. I don't see a refund going through to this person but they are not asking me for the money - I don't see a debit to cancel the funds in my account either - so very confused.

so - how did they cancel a sale 

----  Was the money taken back ? 

---- How do I get final value fees back - haven't looked thru my invoices yet to see that end of things - maybe done?
