i recieved an item ordered from toyrus it was broken.

they rembuirsed me the shipping right away but its on hold

how long is that kind of stuff normally on hold for?

No definite answer as each scenario is different.  All we can say is that it can take from 1 day to several days.   For example, if you're account is not verified, this can add additional time to the review process.
