Sold a specialist clock on eBay and it was delivered and signed for at 10.40 am

At about 5 pm message from buyer that it did not work and they had taken it to a local repair shop where the proprietor had dismantled the clock and said parts were broken with £200 estimated repair.

I was annoyed that someone would take it to bits without my knowledge and also were they qualified,

also buyer may put in a claim with PayPal where do I stand any help appreciated

thanks takethat

On Ebay,if a buyer alters the condition of the item,he loses his buyer protection.

but he can always file with Paypal ,robot would ask him to return the item on his dime, then you have to appeal to a human and explain the situation?

he could also go the route of his cc issuer, then PAYPAL will submit your side of the story and see what happens/

If I WERE you ,I wil ask him to return the item before further damage is done.
